Mastlicht is a full-service film studio from Hanau am Main, Germany, focusing on feature films, documentaries and series.
We love great stories. Whether fictional, documentary or your very own: with us, every story finds its individual voice. That is why every step of the production is designed and built for the story. From the screenplay to the music, everything is tailor-made. Every film is one of a kind.
Documentary
Documentaries are an important part of the film industry. They bring the world closer to us in a unique and unfiltered way. Through authentic stories and impressive images, documentaries give us insights into different ways of life and topics that can inspire and move us.
Feature film
We produce high-quality feature films and short films, either as our own productions or as co-productions. A regional connection is especially important to us, which means that we shoot most of our films in the regions of Hesse.
Series
Whether documentary or fictional: series are another centrepiece of our work. They allow us to develop complex stories and characters over a longer period of time, to tell stories for which 90 minutes are only the beginning, or to accompany projects that keep curiosity and suspense alive for years.
Co-production
As a co-producer we join selected projects, contribute production know-how, our network and financing components, and work together as partners from development to distribution.
